Did you go to college? If so, tell us where and if you have a degree what is it?: Grand Valley State University, BS Psychology and University of Phoenix, MA Elementary Education

Tell us about your family: I am married to Kevin Whiteman. I have 4 kids, Spencer (Lamphere graduate), Nate (Lamphere graduate), Lexi (Lamphere senior), and Kody (Lamphere sophomore). The kids have several pets including a dog, cat, tarantula, and gecko (and disgusting worms and noisy crickets).

What kind of hobbies do you have? What do you like to do?: I volunteer often at my church, Amazing Grace. I like to run the powerpoint during service each week and volunteering for special events like MCREST, where we house and feed 30 homeless women and children for a week in October. I also help set up communion on rotation.
I paint ceramics, scrapbook, and stamp. I prefer cardmaking to scrapbooking. I enjoy reading. My favorite series are JD Robb's In Death series and Lee Child's Jack Reacher series. I also enjoy Nora Roberts and Kat Martin's books.

Are you a graduate of Lamphere Schools?: No, sadly I am not. I graduated from Sterling Heights High School and have no connection past graduation with them.

How long have you worked at Lamphere?: 2016 marks my 14th year as a Lamphere employee.

What's your favorite thing about being a part of the Lamphere district?: The people...I love the staff I work with, no matter what building or position I have held. The people are wonderful.
