Previously a long time Substitute Teacher for The Lamphere Schools, Presently, since May 5, 2016, a LC Paraprofessional.

Did you go to college, if so tell us where. What degrees do you have?
Yes, Wayne State University for a degree in Elementary Education, then Marygrove College for a Masters in the Art of Teaching.

Tell us about your family:
I have a great husband, named John, who is a GM retiree. He brings my lunch to school and visits with me almost every work day. We have a blended family like the Brady Bunch. Our children are all grown and have their own families. We enjoy 11 beautiful grandchildren.

What kind of hobbies do you have? What do you like to do?
Besides spending time with my grandchildren, I enjoy going on motorcycle rides in the summer with my husband John, and on Florida vacations in the winter. I serve in various ministries at Woodlawn Church in Royal Oak: Singing in the choir, altar ministry, and wherever needed.

How long have you worked at Lamphere?
Since 2001 as a substitute teacher, with a break in employment from 2011-2013, to work for Lutheran Social Services to teach refugees English.

What's your favorite thing about being a part of the Lamphere district?
The Lamphere District has a feel of home to me. I know many of the teachers as well as the students. The work that I'm involved in at the Lamphere Center is very fulfilling, purposeful, as well as challenging.
