Future Architects & Engineers get hands-on experience!
Lessenger 1st graders embarked on a journey into the world of architecture today! Partnering with Snapology, our budding young architects dove into a hands-on Lego building extravaganza that sparked creativity and innovation at every turn.
Under the guidance of our amazing teachers, Carlee Issa and Hannah Hardy, who secured Lamphere Innovation Grants to make this experience a reality, students eagerly took on the challenge of designing and constructing bridges using only Lego bricks. Their mission? To engineer bridges standing at least 8 inches long and 4 inches high, capable of supporting an impressive 5 pounds of weight!
The gym buzzed with excitement as teams collaborated, problem-solved, and unleashed their imaginations to bring their bridge designs to life. Laughter filled the air as friendships were strengthened, and young minds discovered the joy of learning through play.
This fun experience not only ignited a passion for architecture but also fostered invaluable skills in teamwork, critical thinking, and perseverance. What an amazing day for these students - who know what the future will bring.
